General Terms and Conditions

1. Services

Thomas Schmid and Tobias Halfpap GbR, hereinafter referred to as GMP ACADEMY, provides the services in accordance with the type and scope of the event descriptions in the current event program. GMP ACADEMY reserves the right to change instructors and/or make changes to the program schedule in exceptional cases.

2. Registration and Confirmation

Registration must be submitted to GMP ACADEMY in writing, i.e., by email, fax, mail, or online at www.gmp-kurs.de. Registrations will be considered in the order in which they are received and confirmed in writing. Verbal ancillary agreements must also be made in writing. Individual parts of the events cannot be booked unless expressly stated in the event program.

3. Cancellation by GMP ACADEMY

If an event is canceled due to illness of the speaker, force majeure, or other circumstances beyond GMP ACADEMY's control, there is no right to the event being held. In the event of cancellation by GMP ACADEMY, the only obligation is to refund the participation fees already paid. Expenses will only be reimbursed if GMP ACADEMY is responsible for the disruption. GMP ACADEMY assumes no liability for the selection of the event location. GMP ACADEMY is not liable for the content of the seminar as it is actually conducted. This is the responsibility of the seminar leader. Poor performance by GMP ACADEMY can only be attributed to an incorrect selection of the instructor.

4. Cancellation or Rebooking by Participants

Cancellations must be made in writing. For cancellations up to 14 days before the start of the event, a processing fee of 10% of the participation fee will be charged; for cancellations up to 7 days before the start of the event, a processing fee of 50% of the participation fee will be charged. After this deadline, the full participation fee according to the invoice must be paid. The postmark or email receipt date is decisive. In this case, we will send the event materials upon request. It is possible to nominate a substitute participant. There are no cancellation fees. If the substitute participant does not meet the same discount requirements as the registered participant (e.g., a student), the difference will be invoiced or credited. The cancellation policy will apply accordingly if a registered participant fails to attend the event without prior notice. You are not entitled to offset, reduce, or assert a right of retention unless your claims have been legally established or are undisputed.

5. Event Materials

Detailed event materials will be made available to all participants for download via an online link. The rights to the event materials – manuscripts, exercises, and case studies – are held exclusively by GMP ACADEMY. Any reproduction, publication, distribution, or making available for download, or any other use outside of the event, requires the prior, express, and written consent of GMP-KURS.

6. Event Fees

The event fees include all event materials. If membership in professional associations, interest groups, etc., offers the possibility of receiving a discount, proof of membership must be provided by uploading the membership certificate during the registration process. Alternatively, the documents can also be stored in the profile or sent by email to kontakt(a)gmp-kurs.de. Discounts for memberships after invoicing are generally excluded. Any special offers, discounts resulting from association memberships, or similar apply only to self-payers.

7. Terms of Payment

The participation fees are due without any deductions after invoicing. Please only transfer the participation fees after receiving the invoice. We charge a processing fee of €10.00 for any changes to the invoice after invoicing.

8. Certificates of Participation

For every seminar that ends with a final exam, participants will receive a certificate of participation. For every conference or meeting, participants will only receive a certificate of participation upon request.

9. Place of Jurisdiction and Applicable Law

The legal relationship between the contracting parties arising from or in connection with this contract shall be governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. The place of jurisdiction for any dispute arising from or in connection with this contract shall be Halle (Saale). Should any provision of this contract be or become invalid or unenforceable in whole or in part, the remainder of the contract shall remain unaffected. The invalid or unenforceable provision shall be replaced by the applicable law.
